So, I decided to drop a line in here, since well, this site is full of people who enjoy reading and writing xD
I'm a writer outside of roleplaying. But recently I've hit a slump. And I'm hoping I can get some help.
I'm just wondering, what sort of book genres do people enjoy reading?
Real life? Fantasy?
Do you like Gossip Girl-ish plots, or something more like Harry Potter or Twilight?

I write too, and have too hit a slump, but recovered. Personally, I am a highly in depth fan of harry potter. I know enough to be a student in hogwarts on my fifth year. I know that much lol. I read a hell of a lot. I like stuff like Black Stallionm and a lot of classics like Black beauty and Where the red fern grows. Stuff with feeling... I also like the Warrior cat books, and the heartland books (though sometimes Heartland gets a little depressed for my taste) I like the anticipation of the warrior cats... and the way it kind of dawns on an entirely new world. thats what I love about harry potter too. Animal Ark... I don't fricken care that they are intended for eight year olds. I have abot 20 animal arks and am constantly getting more. I love them. Misty of the chincoteague. Once again, another classic and of that sort. Oh, the phantom stallion series. I have all of and have read all of the first series, and have begun on the island series a year ago. I'm not sure why I loved these as I did. It could be lots of things. I like the canterwood crest series.... it's the way how it's really like Sasha's life... and how it is. Over all I like things that kind of bring a new world, fictional or not, into perspective, and also stuff with feeling, and stuff that really shows you how an average persons life may be, but in a fun way (and usually I only like the how a persons life may be if it's involving horses) OH one thing. Don't you dare Write about a tribe of centaurs, or a pack of Amaroks. *claimed* xD I'm already started on the Centaur one. Lol P.S.~ Do the world a favor and don't write anything like twilight  Or if you must, write something that makes it SAFE to say I like werewolves. I've always loved mythical creatures, and know over 500 of them, what they are, and their origin. Werewolves and Lycans(which is what that 'genius' Stephanie meyers should be calling jacob and his group, which btw, hello Harry potter rip off. Jacob Black. Sirius Black. Both shapeshifting dogs.... see any possible connection? Oh, if you didn't notice. I do believe twilight sucks. Sorry if you like it and I just dished upon it lol) |
